Alcohol Rehab Program

With rehab you can find a solution that is best tailored to help you as an individual. Many Alcohol rehab program programs that are offered treat the problem with the use of other medications. However, we find that the best solution to solving a drug or alcohol addiction problem is to treat the patient without the use of medications using a drug free rehabilitation. There are several methods of doing this without the use of more drugs or medications. Another problem that can be encountered with recovery is the fact that many drugs are stored in the fat tissues of the body over the long term with drug use.
Alcohol rehab program provides many different methods of dealing with drug and alcohol addiction and it is possible to find the right program that will help you to get through it. These drugs are stored by the body in an attempt to cleanse out the harmful substances from the blood stream, and can remain in fat tissue for as long as up to a decade. This can lead to an eventual relapse while a person is going through Alcohol rehab program since even though the person is no longer using drugs, their body is still releasing these stored substances into the bloodstream as fat is being used. The result can lead to feelings of depression or extreme cravings for using drugs. This leaves a high chance of relapsing and returning to drug use while attending drug and alcohol rehab.
Bio-Drug and Alcohol rehab program
Regular people who are not addicted to drugs or alcohol have natural substances called neurotransmitters that regulate feelings of happiness and contentment. However, when a person becomes addicted to hard drugs such as methamphetamine, crack cocaine, and heroin, long term changes occur that deplete these neurotransmitters and down regulate the receptors in the brain that receive them. Once an addict stops using these drugs they fall into deep depression as a result because their body has come to depend on higher and higher doses of the drug in order to feel good or normal. This is the most common cause that leads to constant relapse, as the addict is trying to feel good again. Alcohol rehab program is the only way to solve this.
Rather than using medications to replace the addict’s addictions with less harmful ones, the bio-physical method uses healthy choices such as good nutrition, exercise, and vitamins and supplements. This is very important because it assists the addict’s body in healing itself and to return to its normal chemistry. Education is also given on drug addiction and how to become a productive member of society. This is by far the most successful method of rehab, providing an extremely high 80% rate of recovery.
Behavioral Modification Alcohol Rehab Program
It is used to teach them how much harm they are doing to themselves and to their friends and family with their drug use by having their friends and family knock them down emotionally with the consequences of their behavior until they break down and decide to change.
This is used on teens since teens that are in rehab often do not have an established sense of the difference between right and wrong. Since the failure rate of this method is extremely high, it is rarely implemented by Alcohol rehab program programs anymore. Some feel that these legal drugs are nothing more than a system that controls drug addiction and creates a profit for the people providing it. It is simply intended to control the problem rather than to rehabilitate the drug addict. Anti-depressants are also commonly used which have problems of their own.
There is much controversy over the use of medications such as methadone to treat addictions to drugs including heroin and other opiates. Many view this solution as simply being a way to take an addict and addict them to a legal drug that does not have any purpose in actually rehabilitating them. However, it does help in terms of safer distribution of the drug being used and preventing needle related diseases such as AIDS and hepatitis. Many claim that drugs such as methadone are more addictive than heroin and do not solve the problem.
Rather than solving the problem of addiction, anti-depressants simply become the new drug of addiction rather than the drug or alcohol addict having to face their problem head on. Furthermore, it is well known that anti-depressants carry a risk of side effects and complications such as the possibility of suicide. Religious rehab is not always successful because many drug addicts to not see the program through to the end. This type of rehab involves a several year stay in isolation, usually on a farm.
While this is helpful in removing a drug addict from a negative environment that could cause relapse, many do not stay for the entire term. This method has an approximate success rate of 40% and involves bible study in order to provide the drug addict with a set or moral values and ethics.
